about
I am an Alphabet City-based DJ, writer, record collector, and music industry analyst.
I approach DJing as a listener and a curator above all else. I am especially drawn to modern downtempo & ambient, but am equally interested in classic disco, italo, and house.
I have a monthly show at Hi-Note Radio, broadcasting out of Alphabet City, called 'Bringing the Dawn In'. I've also played at venues around Manhattan and Brooklyn including Old Flings, Treasure Club, Baby's All Right, Night Club 101, Le Dive, Million Goods, and more.
Professionally, I have worked at some of the most prominent record labels, music streaming platforms, media organizations, and radio stations in the world.

I go to a lot of live music, and it is my firm belief that live music is the answer to all the existential questions raised by modern music technologies. This project aims to archive & curate the best live music in NYC by posting recordings of past performances and recommendations for upcoming concerts, shows, and other live music-related events.

Visual arts are to space as music is to time. Postmodern music rejects this essential, physical premise; minimalist composers like John Cage, Philip Glass, and Julius Eastman see time as a tool rather than a constraint. Taking influence from the minimalists, the punk, no-wave, and related avant-garde NYC scenes reject the preconceived notions of what music is or should be.
